Brian Biggs Process

This is a piece by Brian Biggs which has inspired me to do an emulation of his work and follow his processes as closely as I can.

These are the sketches I did of all of the different components for my piece.

I then proceeded to use a light box to ink over my sketches.

I then used the threshold adjustment and deleted all of the white on each component

I then drew a white rectangle on a layer behind.

I then magic wanded away all of the white surrounding the drawing

By then selecting the drawing I was able to colour it with the brush tool without going out of the edges

I then added shadows once it was coloured and repeated this for every component

When all of the components were coloured I started assembling them on a seperate photoshop document

And this was the finished piece. I think I have captured his techniques very well and I like how everything is fully able to be swapped, changed and moved around separately.
